There were many big events that took place in the romantic era. There was a big war between USA and Britain, today it is known as the war of 1812. Some of the issues that caused this war were British attempts to restrict U.S. trade, the Royal Navy’s impressment of American seamen and America’s desire to expand its territory. The war’s outcome boosted a national self-confidence and encouraged the growing spirit of American expansionism that would shape the better part of the 19th century. The impeachment of Warren Hastings was another major event as well. Another big issue was the spread of the Industrial Revolution from England to the Continent, it forced a large economic change and racial. The romantic era was a very important time for the British Empire, especially with their expansion. In this time period in Britain life was very hard. People who had jobs were getting replaced with machines, so they were getting laid off. As a result in people getting fired they would try and move to the city, yet the cities became to get very over crowded.
