What is Atonement?
The dictionary has several meanings as to what atonement means,
1) satisfaction or reparation for a wrong or injury;
2) Theology. the doctrine concerning the reconciliation of God and humankind, especially as accomplished through the life, suffering, and death of Christ.

It is the beginning of a beautiful relationship, offered to all, yet only received by a few. Atonement is our salvation. It is an intimate remorse between sinner and Savior. It is God offering His only Son as a blood sacrifice to forgive our sins forever. Never needing an animal sacrifice [“Each day you shall offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement for it, and you shall anoint it to consecrate it” (Ex. 29, 36)], as performed in the Old Testament, ever again. Jesus is the sacrificial Lamb [“and he looked at Jesus as He walked, and said, ‘Behold the Lamb of God!’” (John 1:36) also see the prophecy of the Lamb, found in Is. 53:7 and the fulfillment of this prophecy, found in Acts 8:32)] offered for our redemption from sin.
