Both the poetries are written by Baba Bulleh Shah. To promote the message of Sufis, different documentaries have been made on the lives of Sufis and Baba Bulleh Shah was one of them. Violent crimes in Chicago are trending up. Every day there are multiple homicides. Living in the Chicagoland area people are exposed to Chicago media and their coverage of these violent crimes. In a Wall Street Journal article “Chicago Dials Back on 911 Responses,” Jack Nicas reports on this argument. He is trying to bring the issue to a national audience and let them know about the policies Chicago is putting in place about dealing with the homicide rate. The beginning of the article talks about the solution Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel and Police Chief Gary McCarthy have for the cities increasing homicide rate. Chicago Law Enforcement’s solution is to not respond in person to non-violent Crimes. Some of the non-violent crimes include, burglary, robberies, car theft, and threatening phone calls. These are considered to be crimes that in which no one is in imminent danger. These non-violent crimes will be dispatched to desk officers who will fill out police reports by phone. Chicago will keep 44 more police officers on the streets trying to prevent the violent crimes from happening. Arguments continue to swirl on this recent issue. Many Chicagoans oppose. What are their tax dollars paying for? What about increasing the number of police officers in the city? Jack Nicas uses all three rhetorical appeals and uses statistics that have helped put the new policy in place. He quotes from Chicago Police Chief Gary McCarthy and other high rank law enforcement officials. Also Nicas touches on some of the non-violent crimes that will be dispatched to officers on phones. His audience is a national audience and does not direct the article towards the city of Chicago. From reading Jack Nicas’ article he opposes of the decision. Yet the way the article is written makes his argument not effective.…

In Islam, inner peace is also significant to adherents, as Muslims strive to be in submission of Allah. The greeting of peace is a reminder that the purpose in life is to live in full submission to the will of Allah by fulfilling the necessities of the five pillars. Salat, one of the five pillars of faith, is the set of prayers carried out five times a day. When the prayers are done individually, one bonds with Allah, hence creating peace within themselves. Islam is a religion of peace Indeed, peace is the basis for the existence of the universe, including the world and all its inhabitants. If we were to observe the galaxy with its clusters of stars, planets, and even each individual atom that makes up the units of the universe, we will be able to fully appreciate the meaning of peace and harmony. This is because without peace and orderliness, the harmony of the universe will be severely disrupted. Islam, which brings the message of the existence of the Al-Mighty God who administers the entire universe, places the value of peace as a basic value in its worldview. Peace in the Islamic worldview context includes:a. The word Islam comes from the root word ‘salam’ which means peace and tranquility. b. As-Salam is one of the 99 beautiful names of Allah (Asmaul- Husna). c. Almighty Allah gives salutation of peace (salam) to Prophet Muhammad, and to all His messengers and to those entering His paradise. d. ‘Salam’ (Peace) is the first word uttered by the Messenger of God, Prophet Muhammad when he met Allah, The Al-Mighty at Sidratul Muntaha during the Night of Ascent. e. The concept of salam (peace) is a natural instinct in each human being. f. Salam is obligatory in solat (prayers) In the Holy Quran, the meaning of peace is emphasized. The concept of peace as enjoined by the Holy Quran is all-encompassing. Peace is a right not only for Muslims but for each and every human being. This is clearly stated in the Holy Quran, Chapter 5 (Al-Maidah), verse 32: “On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one killed a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole mankind. Then although there came to them Our apostles with…

Is peace what we all really want for ourselves in the end? First we must think of what peace is. It can be a state of harmony between people or groups or even a freedom from them, but it can also be known as freedom of the mind from annoyance, distraction, anxiety, an obsession such as a state of tranquility or serenity. Is that what we want in life—to be able to not worry about the troubles in life and just be happy? Peace gives us a calm and relaxed state of mind that helps bring about that joy and happiness. Happiness is what we are all trying to achieve in life. We fight for what will help us and our loved ones because it makes everyone happy. If you were to find yourself first, then no one would have to worry about to helping others or putting people down in order to help themselves because everyone would be taking care of themselves first. This state of comfort is an amazing state, but we as humans are driven by our desires and emotions, so can we truly have peace? One emotion can lead to another, and Lord Krishna says that it will all end in ruin because our desires are what cause the evil actions we do. Our “desire for pleasure and power” are what lure us to the evil actions (2.43). So if our desires are what get us in trouble and make us sin, how do we stop them?…

Millions of humans around the globe don't feel at peace, usually because they're in dehumanizing situations or have severe life problems. Nevertheless, peace is sometimes known for compromise or silence. But, inner peace requires not only physical silence but in the mind, body and actions as well. For one to be at complete ease, they must free themselves from continuous movement and thoughts. It is a difficult task because many of us have hectic lives and are always busy doing something rather than having time for ourselves. By watching the people around me I have learned that I must set time aside everyday to just relax so I don’t feel over burdened and stressed. Stress reduces your life span and creates problems in your attitude and affects the people around you in a negative manner.…
