“If there’s one thing that Kim Kardashians has taught us, is that you can be famous from not having a speck of discernible talent. Combine the fact Kim has had some famous friends, an enormous behind and a sex tape with a B-list rap star, and all of a sudden you get paid millions to be on television.” The television show “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” has had many young views stumbling to find a seat with all the drama that the family just throws at them. “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” is a reality series that promotes a very unrealistic lifestyle young woman want to try and follow. Young women see the Kardashians focus only on appearance and how their popularity is derived from beauty. Many young women are considering plastic surgery to help enhance their skin’s appearance, so that men can find them more interesting. The Kardashians spend a lot of time and money on their appearance, and on “Instagram” their pages show them in bikinis and other inappropriate wear. The more it becomes important to the parent, the less the child would have to worry about experiencing insecurities later on in life and teens can be taught to recognize and process what the twisted values are when watching reality television. Reality television is becoming more accessible on IPhones, social media, and streaming on tablets. While the rest of America struggles to make ends meet at home with rent, the Kardashians are on television flaunting their $30,000 dollar bags and billion dollar homes.
