Kind Of August Monologue

Kind. This word describes August because he is not offended by other strangers. He also lets others go when they severly make fun of his looks. This shows that “Auggie” Is very easy going, and nonchalant when dealing with people that bully him. August is calm with bullies because when they start to tease, he takes it. He then realizes that he is getting made fun of. People are putting him down because of his looks. But he moves on. Hurtful. This is how Augest felt when random people came to him and asked. “What happened to your face?” Or when he is just walking down the hallway in school, and people gasp when they lay their eyes on this one and milion wonder. Why does he not over react when this happens time after time? But no matter what, he moves on.

This is what I had felt, and took from Auggie after reading this book. But how do you think he felt on the inside when all this stuff happened to him? Strangers would say dumb things, and August would just move on. But did he really just move on? Bullies like Julien would tease and harass Auggie, and he would just like walk away from it like nothing had happened. In reality, how could someone get nagged on and on, and not get a little upset? I feel sense Auggie did not take offense to people deliberately hurting his feelings, this shows that he is indeed very,very kind. Also, this shows that August is very affectionate to these people that tease him about his face. I know how you think, “How does kind and affectionate make sense to call Augie?” But I am here to tell you again that August Pollman is kind because of all the bullies that push him around mentally. But August doesn't do anything. Julien nags, and nags him. And August doesn’t do anything. August Pollman does not care. He lets the situation go, and moves on.
