The Story of King Arthur
Characters
1.King Utherpendragon – He was the king of Great Britain during the Middle Ages. He calls on Merlin to do a prophecy. King Utherpendragon finds out that he will die of a high fever and his son will be raised by someone else.
2.Sir Kay – Sir Kay was a young knight of great valor and the brother of Arthur. He bravely fought in a tournament and was victorious. He told his father that he pulled the sword out of the stone even though it was not true.
3.Sir Ector – Sir Ector was called the Trustworthy Knight and was the stepfather of Arthur. He took his two sons to London for the great tournament. He observed Arthur putting the sword into the anvil.
4.Sir Ulfius – Sir Ulfius was the chief knight of Utherpendragon’s household. He was thought to be the greatest leader in war of any man alive. He gave Utherpendragon aid and advice in battle.
5.Merlin the Enchanter – Merlin was a powerful enchanter and prophet known as Merlin the
Wise. He predicted that Utherpendragon would fall sick of a fever and die. He said that Arthur would either be kidnapped or killed.
6.Sir Balamorgineas – Sir Balamorgineas was a knight that was so huge that he rode head and shoulders above any other knight. He could withstand the attack of three ordinary knights at one time. He fought Sir Kay in a tournament and broke Sir Kay’s weapon.
7.Archbishop of Cantebury – Archbishop of Cantebury was seated in London surrounded by a court of clerks and knights. He asked advice from Merlin to restore order in the land. He followed Merlin’s advice to find the Rightful King of England.
8.Sir Myles – Sir Myles was called Sir Myles of the White Fountain. He was the lord of 7 castles on seven noble estates. He fought the Sable Knight and was wounded in battle.
9.Griflet – Griflet was a brave squire who asked Arthur to make him a knight. He wanted to punish the Sable Knight to get back the shields hung on the trees. He was badly injured
