Many times called Jesus of Nazareth as Christians they look to Christ as their perfect example, because he was tested in his human nature, and yet he never sinned. They weren’t there when Jesus of Nazareth walked the earth so they use this book as a base for everything they do. Kind of like a guideline Wayne Grudem says in In Christian Beliefs: Twenty Basics Every Christian Should Know book that the bible has authority. That Gods words are in the bible, and if a Christian doesn’t obey the bible that that person doesn’t obey God. Wayne talks about how followers of Christ (Christians) should understand the bible. Grudem was talking about how God uses the bible to speak to his followers. The bible has many books. It’s broken down into the New and the Old Testament. There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament, making that a total of 66 books of the bible. A lot of the books in the bible were written by followers of Christ. The edict of Milan was made on February 313 AD. It was an agreement to make people treat Christians better in the Roman Empire. This agreement was created one year later of Constantine’s vision. Licinius was an important figure where this agreement was concerned, but he contradicted himself when he tried to take the empire from Constatine.an act that displayed his motives was when he didn’t stop killing Christians in the eastern part of the empire. Even with this agreement in place it didn’t make people treat Christians better. Christian’s couldn’t have services in their churches. Christians had the choice to worship their gods, or they would have to be fired from their positions. They killed bishops. In 320 40 soldiers were killed in 320 for not disowning Christ. It all came to an end in 324 when Licinius lost the battle against Constantine in a battle that they fought in Hadrianopolis.
