Klondike Gold Rush Analysis
1.The part that I enjoyed the most while reading this story is the lesson that you can learn from the main characters and events that took place. For example, Soapy Smith was able to convinced the people of Skagway that he is a good man after knowing the plan of the Committee of 101.
Some people was still doubtful on what really his true motive for saying that he is a good man and people should give a chance to prove it. The town people should have known better about he’s motive of using the town for his own personal needs.

2. The part that I disliked in the story was when Wellington tried escape to avoid the fifty lashing, and ended up blowing up his brains out. I think he is a coward for not going through the punishment. Meanwhile, Hansen

The author and the illustrator were able balanced the text and the graphics by using a story of how power and wealth can turn people against one another. By using situations that deals with historical events that happened during the Klondike gold rush. The story became more interesting to read because of its historical connection. The illustrator also did a great job on the visual images that represent the main characters and the main events of the story.

Klondike gold rush between 1896 to 1899 brought 100,000 people to the Klondike region of northwestern Canada in the Yukon region. The harsh terrain and unpredictable weather didn’t stop people on climbing the Klondike. Many of them went through ports of Dyea and Skagway in Southeast Alaska. From this route they either take the Chilkoot or the White Pass trails to the
Yukon River all the way to the Klondike. Canadians authorities requires them to bring one year’s supply of food to prevent starvation. Almost everyone knows the story of the Gold Rush in the United States, and how it helped accelerate the settlement of the west. Arvada was formed during the Gold Rush era of the 1850s. As prospectors headed west to California, some stopped off in the Rocky Mountains and found pockets of gold there as well. Some mined the gold in the mountains while others farmed the bottom lands and provided crops for the other settlers. Arvada grew rapidly once the railroad was completed through the area, and it became a vibrant farming community. Today, Arvada offers a lot to residents and visitors alike as a suburb in the Denver area.…

To conclude, it is not wise to seek wealth and power very easily, like Macbeth and Hank, it may influence one to commit immoral acts in a heartbeat. An honourable knight turning against his king, a well-off man who does not need more money than he already has; wealth and power affects the virtue and consciousness of whom it deals with which has a major effect on an individual’s moral. In relation to infringement on one’s moral, wealth and power may lead to a path of murder and betrayal to ensure that one can obtain it all. Furthermore, through the restless efforts to gain wealth and power, it left Macbeth and Hank in vain and misery because everything they wanted never became everlasting. In summary, wealth and power is abstract and dangerous…
