Well that is 100% true. The best way to get offense going is to get steals. Now since we are comparing Kobe to Lebron, who is better at getting steals? Kobe Bryant can be an assassin when manning the passing lanes. His anticipation of where the ball is headed next is not to be trifled with. Kobe loves to score as we all know that, so why would not want to force turnovers? Well like Bryant, James is tremendous at playing the passing lanes. Tough his on-ball defense is fabulous; he is one of the best off-ball defenders the game has to offer. The way James moves in and out of the paint, fighting over screens and never taking his eye off the ongoing play is nothing diminutive of extraordinary. That said, Kobe Bryant is an amazingly conscious shot-contester. This past season Kobe averaged 0.2 blocks per game, now that not much but during the lockout-shortened 1998-99 campaign, Kobe averaged 1.0 blocks per game. That is impressive for a guard. Away from that season, nothing about Kobe 's shot blocking is noticed on paper. Forwards in the NBA are not really known for their shot blocking ability however, Lebron remains an exception. Between 2007 and 2010, Lebron averaged 1.0 blocks per game. In the past, couple of years that number has dropped to 0.8 blocks per game, only because Lebron started to defend out of position. Still for a person who spends a majority of his time defending out of position, credit much be given where it is
