Learning Styles are the way people learn. Everyone learns differently, and there are four different styles of learning. The learning styles are called diverting, assimilating, converging, and accommodating styles. The learning styles are broken down to describe how you learn. They also give examples of the way you learn. Kolb, D.A. (2007). Kolb Learning Style Inventory. The diverting style involves learning from many different points of view. They observe rather than approach situations. They may prefer to work in groups, gather information, and listen with an open mind to receive personalized feedback. They also like to brainstorm. The assimilating styles are best t putting information in logical form. With
this learning style people are more focused on ideas and concepts. The converting style people are good at uncovering use for theories and ideas. People are capable of solving problems as well as questions. People prefer to deal social and interpersonal issues. The accommodating style people learn from doing the task at hand. People prefer to work with others to get assignments done. People may also rely on others for information. Kolb, D.A. (2007). Kolb Learning Style Inventory. My reaction to the different learning styles is simple; I believe that everyone learns differently so therefore I think that the learning styles are accurate. My learning style would have to be the accommodating style, because I prefer to work in groups. I believe that working in groups is best because you have many different ideas. I also prefer to learn by doing rather than just watching. Overall I think that everyone learns differently.
