That you would kill for it, pay for it with every last cent you owned. Come on, you’ve been in that situation at least once in your life. Nobody can fool anyone around here. What was it that had been desired? Money, forgiveness, electronics, toys, could it have been food, shelter, endless wishes? Me? I wanted a second chance. Another chance to save her. To save Kristen Noll. She was definitely something. A friend, a daughter, sister, cousin, granddaughter, lover. The list could continue on for ages. Her life ended just before it had begun. She had so much potential, she could have become something this world needed. I needed her back alive. It was too challenging to continue this life without her, waking up everyday knowing that there was no way she could ever come back. That’s where my …show more content…
Not since the accident involving Kristen. It was just after she had graduated the tenth grade. Back in July when she had been coming home later than usual considering that it was now the summer and she didnèt have school for another five weeks. It was dark out, however she was wearing enough brightly coloured clothing that any sober person would have stopped at the red light and she wouldn’t have been killed. The man driving had been coming back from the bar completely hammered. He was driving really fast and hadn’t stopped at the red light. As he sped right through it he also hadn’t noticed the brightly dressed child walking across the street talking on the phone. I was the one she was talking to that night. She had called me to say she was on her way home and so that she was on the phone so she felt safer walking alone. Imagine how it felt to hear you’re only child screaming and following the thumping sound of something hitting a car. After her mother had died, she was all I had left, she was the only family that I

Screams of excruciating pain interrupted my slumber. Springing up from my sleeping bag, I looked in the direction where I heard the continued sounds of agony, broken bones, and ripping flesh. Quickly scanning the gym with my eyes, I saw that five of Kristine’s survivors became runners. In the bleachers, three of runners dugged their teeths into the survivor’s necks, faces, shoulders, who were lying peacefully and unexpected in their sleeping bags. In the middle of the gym’s basketball court, two more runners’ yanked meat and muscles from survivor’s faces, as the survivors attempted to fight back, however their attempts were useless, the runner’s strength over powered theirs. As one runner, in the middle of the gym, swallowed a survivor’s nose,…

Fear gripped me as I walked through the front door and seen my children crying hysterically “she’s dead” they exclaimed, “They killed her”. I could feel my feet become numb as if I was paralyzed for only a moment. The heat of my blood began to rush through my body as my 13 year old daughter reached out to me to catch me before I fell to the floor. The sound of my voice was not heard, only the tears of deep agonizing pain rushed down my face like a waterfall. My son helped me from the floor and held me close to comfort me, what compassion I found in his arms. Is this how it feels to lose someone so close to your heart and soul? She was my kindred spirit from the time I looked into her eyes. So very innocent, loving and compassionate, how could anyone rob her of the life she had before her. The police explained to my husband that the boys had a tazer gun and thought it would be funny to watch someone or something twitch uncontrollably. I screamed the loudest scream I could muster, only to realize that no sound was protruding from my mouth. Immediately flashes of our time together began to rush through my mind like the turn of photo album pages. I could see her running and playing, catching the ball, playing with her babies, she was so good with them. Even though she was an adult she still found her way into my lap on cold rainy nights like when she was a baby. How could someone take her from me? How could they be so callus and cruel? Her body was taken away before I even got home from the grocery store, so I can’t even give her a proper burial. How grateful I felt to have fed her my in-n-out burger and spent alone time the night before with her. I could remember the times she would comfort me when I was sad and how she kept me company when I was alone. I know she found great comfort and love with me when I would brush her solid, silky charcoal grey coat. Her name was Baby, the first dog I ever owned. She was a…

Life is like a flower, so beautiful and healthy when it’s well taken care of, but even then it dies and all that’s ever left is ashes. A day like any other, May 25, 2011, I was at my school, John C. Fremont High, in the cafeteria when I received the worst phone call ever. It was the phone call that impacted and traumatized my life. My best friend’s mom had called me and simply said, “I need you to calm down, and I need you to take this calmly.” As she started to cry, she said, “Elias has stopped breathing.” And that’s how I knew I had lost my best friend.…

I followed her up stairs and noticed that she was turning right, the exact same direction where my room was. My mom opened the door and at once you could feel the intense heat of the room. The windows were shut; piles of magazines were on my knight stand table where I kept my favorite book Frozen by Robin Wasserman. My mother took a deep breath and instantly tumbled to the floor. She began to weep and bellowed out my name “Sarah.” Immediately I knelt to the ground trying to console her, I knew that it wouldn’t help though. “Mom, please don’t cry look at me I am right here look at me!” She instantly turned to my direction, when our eyes met I thought “yes, that’s it just try a bit harder!” As she pulled herself together, she wiped off all the tears away from her face. I sat on the floor, feeling defeated and frustrated. How come she isn’t trying hard enough to see me? But then I realized it was because I was dead; robbed of my future and most importantly my mother.…
