Both models identify a lot of similar things of importance for me personally: responsibility, leadership, being proactive, constant development, creativity, efficient use of time and sense of expertise. The team feedback sessions for me being a project manager (leader) also proved these theoretical assumptions to be true: team members told me that I’m pushing and persuasive, always have an answer and ready to help, try to make efficient use of time and stick to the goals of the project. However, I don’t take into account personalities of team members, sometimes expect others to commit themselves to the work for 100% or even more and put forward only my way of solving each issue. I also take on more tasks that I’m able to do, which leads to inefficiency and overestimated expectations, which is bad for both roles of a leader and a follower. My Controlling behavioral style prevent myself from being an ideal follower: I’m always trying to take the lead even when I’m not an official leader of the group, which diminishes the authority of the manager and sometimes leads to conflicts. The positive aspect is that I’m always actively participating in discussions, bringing ideas, helping and explaining things. One of the main drawbacks that could be associated with the leader role is an autocratic leadership style which reveals in the form of excessive control, providing directions and not listening to different opinions and suggestions keeping to my own vision of the project in general and specific tasks. On the other side, the main problem of working under supervision is the desire to take the lead even when I’m not entitled. All the other gaps could be referred to both leader and follower roles including overestimated expectations, over-commitment and failure to perform all the tasks and too many interactions that interferes with duties and
