La Clinica De Familia, (LCDF) through the Healthy Start Program, is proposing to serve families located within Doña Ana County (DAC), including the CYFD Designated Early Childhood Investment Zone, Gadsden Independent School District (GISD), and the southwest corner of Otero County. New Mexico Voices for Children Kids Count 2015 Report emphasized the need for continued investment in early childhood care and education noting 38% of children continue to live in poverty in the county.
