Lactose Intolerance is a condition that effects people who do not produce enough lactase to digest lactose. There are three different types of Lactose Intolerance that are caused by the small intestine and the amount of lactase produced. Lactose Intolerance effects those who have the condition by causing pain and making them uncomfortable ("Lactose intolerance").

Lactose Intolerance is a condition that effects one out of every ten Americans. There are many causes of Lactose Intolerance, which are all based on the amount of lactase the small intestine produces. There are many symptoms that come along with being Lactose Intolerant. This condition is not life threatening ("Lactose intolerance"). Lactose Intolerance is caused by the lactose not being digested. The small intestine produces the enzyme lactase which digests milk sugar, lactose. In people that are lactose intolerant their small intestine does not produce to enough lactase to digest the amount of lactose digested. There are three main types of Lactose Intolerance ("Lactose Intolerance Symptoms, Causes, Treatments, Tests"). The three main types are Primary Lactose Intolerance, Secondary Lactose Intolerance, and Congenital or Developmental Lactose Intolerance. Primary Lactose is the most common type of Lactose Intolerance. Lactase is production is high in early life but as age increase the lactose is replaced by other food causing the production of lactase to decrease.
