Professionally known as Lady Gaga, Stefani is a singer, songwriter, and actress. Gaga has been on the scene since 2001, but did not get much recognition until 2008. Gaga has released multiple albums, made appearances in movies and television, and has even become an entrepreneur. Gaga has shown much success in her career and it is growing everyday. Gaga has gained an abundance of awards, created songs, and caused impacts done on this world since her career lifted off. Being one of the most influential pop artist of the Millennial generation Gaga has had an impressive past, interesting present, and exciting future. Stefani grew up in New York, attended acting school for about ten years, and began performing at open mic nights by the age of fourteen. Lady Gaga’s career began around 2001 appearing in a short role for The Sopranos. Before gaining her huge commercial success she was
in punk rock band SGBand. Around 2007 she met producer RedOne and began recording with him for her new album. She signed onto an imprint of Interscope Records. Making this move would cause Gaga’s career to skyrocket to what the public knows her to be today. In 2008, Gaga released her first album, The Fame, consisting of fourteen tracks. The public ate up this album for its catchy tunes and radio friendly tacks. The first two singles to the album were “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” which became a huge commercial success. As time went by, due to her success, Gaga release an extended play to The Fame known as, The Fame Monster. She went on to release several other albums Born This Way, Artpop, and Cheek to Cheek. Some of her most successful singles have been Bad Romance, Born This Way, The Edge of Glory, Telephone, Applause, Do Want U Want, and G.U.Y.. All this success has lead Gaga to be able to also create a perfume line. Currently Gaga has been working on her fifth album Joanne. A highly anticipated album to fans since it has been three years since Gaga has released a solo album. The album is set to be released on October 21, 2016. Gaga is confirmed by Warner Bros. to star in Bradley Cooper’s remake film, A Star Is Born. Filming is not set to begin until 2017. Aside from film acting Gaga is currently still working on Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story”. Gaga’s first appearance on the show was in season six known as Hotel. This is Gaga’s second season on the show known as Roanoke. Gaga’s most excited event to date is her upcoming performance at the Super Bowl LI halftime show on February 5, 2017. Knowing Gaga, she is sure to set and perform a show stopping unforgettable performance. At the moment, Gaga is embarked in a 3-date-tour show casing her new album Joanne. Gaga has won a number of awards from Grammy’s to a Golden Globe. Gaga achieved her Golden Globe win in 2016 from her role in American Horror Story: Hotel. Gaga won her first Grammy in 2010 for her song “Poker Face”. Gaga has achieved and received thirteen MTV Awards, twelve Guinness World Records, three brit Awards, and six Grammy Awards. Gaga has sold over 27 million albums and 146 million singles worldwide, and that does not include her fifth album winnings yet. Due to those numbers, that puts Gaga at a title of one of the best selling music artist of this time. Billboard has named Gaga one of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women from 2010 to 2014. The Time’s magazine has named Gaga one of the most influential people in the world. Gaga has so much going for her thanks to her talent, ideas, and especially her Lil’Monsters(the name of Gaga’s fan base).
