In Shakespeare’s play Macbeth, he explores the relationship of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth and how it changes. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are of complex personalities, that share the same ambition and desire which leads the couple into a course of deplorable events. Lady Macbeth tells her husband that when the King arrives he should “look like the innocent flower but be the serpent under’t” so that no one is aware of the murderous plots, this highlights the controlling character of Lady Macbeth because is the one ordering Macbeth. Macbeth is quite determined to “proceed no further in this business” because Macbeth was a brave warrior and wants loyal to his King, not only as respect but because Duncan is a good friend to Macbeth; this is expressed in the film when King Duncan hugs Macbeth showing that he trusts him to allow him to get that close.
