Lady Macbeth Character Traits

Lady Macbeth Lady Macbeth of William Shakespeare's Macbeth, is a familiar character even to those that have never read the play. Her name can be heard being referenced or used as an insult to a woman, to compare a shady or manipulative personality trait. Although she does not actually commit any murders, she is notably one of the most famous villains in literature. I found it very interesting that prior to reading this play, I knew more about Lady Macbeth and her character flaws (to say the least), than Macbeth and his murderous deeds. This made me wonder why Lady Macbeth throughout time has remained such a notorious and intriguing character. Traditional female gender stereotypes have always connected women with kindness, love,fairness
