The interpretation I get from this particular scene. Is that of a paradox because it shows just how slimily Lady Macbeth truly is. She is showing extreme affection to Macbeth, meanwhile she is forcing Macbeth to kill Duncan at the same time. She is also filling his mind with thoughts of her always being by his side. When really she only wants to be queen. Whether it be by the darkness in the room, or by Lady Macbeth’s bossy tone, you can tell she has other motives in store for the future.
