Alexis started playing soccer at the age of three. Her parents signed her up at such a young age so she would always have a lead on other potential legends. Alexis had a weird obsession with soccer. Every single thing she owned either had something to do with soccer or had a soccer ball on it. She had a soccer bed set, books, balls that went on the ceiling that would glow in the dark when the lights were off, posters, clothes, every possible jersey worn by a soccer player. She also had every single world cup soccer ball in the…

On the other hand the Roman system of Alimenta shares a great deal of similarities with modern welfare as it is currently known, the Roman Empire being the birth place of many currently utilized government systems. Originally Alimenta actually began under the reign of the first Roman emperor known as Augustus, at this time it was referred to as Cura Annonae which stood for "care for the grain supply", as the name would imply this particular system under Augustus dealt more with grain than financial status. The Cura Annonae focused upon attempting to provide rations of grain to citizens of the Roman Empire who could not themselves afford to purchase food for themselves or their families, this is the first recorded instance in history of a system…

injustice, hunger and job insecurity is how they described maquiladoras. Maybe some of these issues are not obvious enough for people to see them as problems. From my point of view I think that the government keeps a lot of information from people, for their own benefit or to prevent riots from happening or maybe to stop legal actions done against them.…
Mala Prohibita is a Latin term that translates to mean “wrong because it is prohibited.” This is used the legal system in reference to acts that are not necessarily wrong by their very nature – such as rape or murder. Secondly, feminism is needed worldwide because of the extreme issues that are happening in other states. These are issues that are brought daily into national and international news. There are so many countries that don’t treat women equal to men, mostly because of their traditions but also for financial benefit as in China with the female dominated workforce. However they don’t have the majority in the workforce because of women rights but on the contrary to exploit both women and men. China is not the only country that “prefer” women to work in factories many countries do this including Mexico. Once again I had never paid attention to the maquiladoras that are just across the border where I have family members that work in some of them.…

“Everything I have done in my life has been to provide for my children.” That’s what you’ll hear my dad say if you ask him about anything he’s accomplished in his life. As a father he has always told us, “Nothing is handed to you; everything you have must be earned.”…
