Lake Okeechobee Research Paper
Given that, Lake Okeechobee covers more than 730 square miles, with a diameter of 45 miles. The North and West borders of Palm Beach County is connected to the southeast section of Lake Okeechobee. In fact, Lake Okeechobee is the second largest freshwater lake in the U.S., located within one state’s boundaries.
The effect light has on the aquatic life living in Lake Okeechobee is the sun’s energy placed into the plants which the wildlife eats. The energy the aquatic plants obtain is from the effect of the sun's energy being transferred into the plants the aquatic life eat. In all with the process of photosynthesis, plants can transfer energy to the living organisms who live underwater.
In the beginning of 2016, lake Okeechobee had a reached
water levels to 16.4 to above sea level by February. It was the wettest January in South Florida’s climate record. With the abnormal wet conditions that are normally the dry period in the state of Florida, increased flood risks. I predicate that the water levels will go back to normal.
