Larry Ferguson Research Paper

A man that has been all over the world and is the most hardworking person I know is my grandfather. Larry Ferguson is extremely influential to me. Always a supporting person in my life, he attends all of my football games, basketball games, and all events that I do. He also volunteers his time in various activities. Serving in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1967, he was willing to fight for our country. I respect him for everything that he has done for my family and the community. Hardworking is a talent that is now difficult to find. Growing up, he lived on a farm where he was shown hard work and resoluteness. From then on he worked hard, getting his degree in Agricultural Mechanization from the University of Illinois in 1964. Currently he finds jobs around the house fixing
He has visited approximately 20 countries. My personal favorite story is when he was in China. He took a picture of an ammunition storage tunnel and was forced to turn over the film, but cunningly almost switched it out in time to take it back to America. Serving in the Vietnam War, he controlled air defense missiles. In Africa, he taught the open pit mine mechanics and electricians how to repair the electric drive mining trucks. In Chile, on a plane, the pilot turned the controls over to him. He had never flown a plane before. The pilot then taught him how to fly a plane. He flew it for several hours his first time over the mountains in Chile. All these events showed that he had a desiderate for adventure. Therefore all of these traits makes him an inspiring person to me. He is an adventurous, hardworking, and persistent man. Without him I would not have knowledge of good work ethic and the the drive to finish what I start. When I see him in the crowd at football games, I push myself to do the best I can.
