The reason why there are two different
ways of answering this question is because the concepts of measuring two very different aspects of someone's life: how they see their life and how they live their life. There is no one easy way to measure who is the happiest.
More than 70% of the world said they smiled or laughed a lot the previous day. Only seven countries had less than a majority of people say the same. So, while we hear so much about the things that aren't going well, 70% of the world is still finding a way to have fun.
PEW: Millennials overtake Baby Boomers as America’s largest generation The millennials have always surpassed the baby boomers as the nation largest generation, but according to a population estimate released by the U.S. Census Bureau, millennials (people that age of 18-34 in 2015) now surpass the Baby Boomers (ages 51-69) by .5 million, and generation X (ages 35-50) are expected to pass the Boomers by 2028.
The reason why the Millennial generation continues to grow is because young immigrants coming to the U.S are expanding their population number. Boomers whose generation was defined by the boom in U.S. births following World War II – are older and their numbers shrinking as the number of deaths among them exceeds the number of older immigrants arriving in the country.
Pew Research Center has established that the oldest “Millennial” was born in 1981(35 years old). The Center continues to assess demographic, attitudinal and other evidence on habits and culture that will help to establish when the youngest Millennial was born or even when a new generation begins.
