Week three was the day of ‘micro-teach’. I don’t know about any one else, but I was getting a bit nervous, because I had never done any thing like that before, or I had than I don’t remember. As again, I arrive on time, a little bit earlier, so got enough time to re-prepare my self for the exam. The instructor was there already, than afterwards all the other participants arrive at there own times, but two were missing Sajida Nisa and Ambreen.
Every body seems to be little bit anxious and worried, but this was the day of test. We all have been assigned serial numbers to our lectures. I had to come at number three. Then came the first knight Mr, Johnson, he looks like an old, experienced and knowledgeable …show more content…
person, and he has proved to be, his topic was ‘Weight loss, nutrition supplements and Good Health’ . Like every one he has been allowed only 30 minutes to finish our micro-teach lesson. Its seems like a short period of time, but that is what micro-teaching is all about. Mr. Johnson started with the major problem faced by the Britons, obesity, during the interactive lecture, he press on a balanced diet plan, as it is good for the health and vigour. It was quite and interesting lecture about the food and different supplements, which he bring along with him. His way of reaching, command on the topic, his gesture and posture were really impressive. There were some activities also; like how to calculate the (BMI) body mass index, now we know the formula how to calculate it. We all were engaged in them. During the we did took some of the fruits to eat, (he offered them first). Over all he did really very well managed his time and even the instructor was very happy about him.
Secondly came Florence, her topic was ‘some barriers of communication’. She was well dressed, looked smart and started off with the good introduction of the topic, she began well but with time going pass, her pace started to come lower, although she delivered the lecture very well, as much as she could done in 30 minute time with slow speed. The topic was really very good, her gesture and posture were also good, her voice and level of knowledge were good. We did all enjoy the time; we also get engage d in on activity, in which we all had to write our views and ideas regarding the communication perspective and its barriers. Over all she did well but took a lot of time. The views of the trainer were also about her timing.
Third was my self, but before that, there was a time for lunch break, and during the break, I got a chance to put some more informative stuff in the interactive ppt slides.
So I downloaded some new pictures regarding my subject and topic that day. My topic was ‘Computer Hardware’. My idea was to tell the peers about the back ground work of the machine. Because every body knows and I also do believe that inside of the computer is completely different than the out side, it is more complex and interesting. My emphasis was the introduction to the hardened parts of the computer which are found inside the machine, but more of that I concentrated on Hard Disc, its structure functioning, make, different parts, caring, structure, etc. the lecture did really very fine, done some of the activities also, first I asked the students to please give a feed back about there own knowledge about the hard disk, what they know? What do they want to know? What have they learned? All of them wrote down what they know and wanted to learn as well as what they learned. The slides went really very well, and with the basic knowledge of the equipment, every thing went fine, second activity was about the marking of the hard disk parts, on the simple paper with the picture of the hard disc. All the participants did some of the markings. In the end the lecture went fine, but I did took little bit more time to finish. The trainer was very happy with the lecture; she gave some remarks also, about how to …show more content…
improve more.
Than came Ms.
Akhangsha, her topic was ‘Managing difficult people at work’ although she is in HRM, but she did really well, she started with the description of difficult people, how they seems like, their behaviour , ideas , attitude towards other and them selves as well. She pointed out both the internal and external aspects of the difficulty, in which she pointed out the reason of being difficult, like family problems, personal, social, mental problems etc. she also mention strategies of managing difficult people, like motivation, training, empowerment etc in all she did well, we all did some of the activities
also.
At fourth came Mr, Ijaz Amir, as my colleague I knew his potential and knowledge, about his own subject. His topic was ‘Nature and Purpose of Accounting’, and as expected by me, he did well, but unfortunately hew was given just a bit more than half of the time (20min). he started with the importance of the accounting in the recent world, he gave knowledge about all the important aspects and parts of the accounting world like trial balance, balance sheet etc, he gave examples of different types of businesses and explain each one very thoroughly. During this we also did some verbal calculations as an activity.
In last but not least came Mr, Manu, he is a very cool minded guy, quiet present in the class, he also did well in the micro0teaching session, but again unfortunately, he also did not get the full time to represent is work and practice about the profession. His topic was, ‘leadership management’, as the subject is suggesting he, took teachers as the leaders in the main frame. He went very fast during the lecture, but during this he kept all of us, activated in the class, his emphasis was that a leader has to have good qualities as he/she is an example to many people, especially the ones, who are engages with them. He also pointed some of the worst practices of the society in the aspect, he also provided some other ways, how can any one be a good example as a leader.
Over all the day went really very fine, but tiring also, as wee all did what we could to prove our selves better than each other.
