Development of Team A
As a team, there are many goals set in order to succeed. On this team we have many different characteristics and the best way to incorporate all these characteristics is to develop a plan that will address most if not all of the characteristics of learning team A. If properly done and properly managed we can plan effectively to determine the exact needs of the learning team. We can also use it as a tool and guidelines for team. Trying to figure out the skills, strengths, goals, and areas that need improvements. Also, how we are going to use the DISC assessment as a way to reach our career goals.
The foundation for success
In week, one everyone single person in the class was required to take the DISC assessment. What this assessment did is it breaks down the lone individual and into four predominant behavioral styles. The DISC assessment was first founded by William Moulton Marston in 1920 (Paauw, 2014). “Marston wanted to study "normal" people because research had been done on the mentally ill, but not on the emotions of normal people” (Paauw, 2014). Those four are dominance, interactive, steadiness, and cautious, hence the DISC. Learning Team A Currently has six members, but it seems only 5 have been involved in the classroom activities. Of the five who have been involved we had 3 with the IC behavioral style, including myself. We had one DS, and one CD, so on this rare occasion we see that everyone behavioral style is represented in throughout the team. We had two who were dominant (D) and have characteristics of being a driven self-starter. What this also possess the determination and strive to be able to handle everything thrown at them from a small task to multiple tasks all at once. They also want to cut to the chase no shortcuts no games just get the job done and get out. For Interactive, which three of our members poses, they are the outgoing and love to be
