Lead By Serving

To me, lead by serving is setting an example for others. You take responsibility and accountability for yours and your team’s actions. You do the right thing ,even if it’s not the easiest thing to do. It is going out of your way to do things for the betterment of the team. It can be the simplest things, such as picking up trash for a fellow team member or reminding someone to do something they may have forgotten or just decided not to do. It can also be an open ear to listen to your team member's questions or concerns, and just being there for them in general.
This year’s Juniors have shown a few examples of lead by serving. Some examples are picking up trash, putting up chairs after practice, and helping teammates when they are in need. Nevertheless, the Juniors have done things to show lead by serving, but I know we can do more. If we start doing more, it will not only better our team but can also set an example for the younger kids on the team and our entire school itself.
To inspire the other Juniors to lead by serving, I would lead by example by doing it more myself. This can set an example and make them want to do the same and not just be a bystander. We are in control of ourselves and it is up
The younger grades will soon begin to catch on. As we all understand and follow this practice together, it will make the team that much better. We will be helping each other out and make communication easier. As a team we can also be a great model to other athletic teams in our school and the student body as a whole.
In conclusion, lead by serving has many meanings but all have one thing in common. It will make our team and ourselves better. By inspiring and influencing the other Juniors more people will follow the lead by serving rule. This will not only help the team, but myself. I will be able to help more people and make sure everything is organized for a successful season and
