Leadership In The Movie Courageous
Nathan Hayes and Adam Mitchell, both police officers, were the prominent leaders in the movie Courageous. Early in the movie Hayes, Mitchell and their colleagues go to the rough side of town to make an arrest. Hayes’s partner is known as the “rookie” and while preparing for the raid Hayes put the rookie in a position he could not handle. The Law of Victory says, “Leaders find a way for the team to win.” Hayes did not think about what was best in the situation. He let him take the back door knowing he was not capable of doing the job well. His poor leadership in this instance caused the criminals to initially get away. Adam Mitchell faces the horrible tragedy of the death of his daughter. He begins to review every parenting decision he made
