June 30th the district will hold the Growth Council monthly strategy and the team of Dickie, Jeff and myself, will present the outline for Leadership University and Succession Planning.
July 11th senior leadership will hold the first Leadership University and succession planning for new and current leaders, the meeting will review necessary actions to be taken in the third quarter. Secondly, a succession plan for each Director of Sales and Recommended participates will be chosen by the Directors of Sales and Area Sales Managers. The topics for leadership training will be provided based on the data gathering and research already completed within the Leadership University project. After the July 11th meeting, a calendar invite will be sent to the current and new Leadership University cadets.
New Leaders will be given training and insight on the following leadership traits:
-Integrity
-Putting People First
-Authenticity
-UPS culture and values

Staff Level Leaders, Directors of Sales and the Sales Training Manager and myself will facilitate the half day training. Current leadership will be asked to provide stories and examples where they applied leadership traits. All participants in this training will walk away with action items to improve on the job performance and becoming better leaders. After the meeting, employees will be provided with additional reading and videos of leadership topics. The cadets will be assigned required reading and give a comprehensive report back to these leadership topics at the next Leadership University
