This instruction design will cleave on communicative approach. The students in 4th year literature class will be introduced to Psychoanalytical Literary Approach using the first school of Psychoanalysis, Freud’s Theory on personality. Communicative language activities shall be used to promote free anxiety class.
Objectives At the given period, the 4th year literature students are expected to: 1. recollect the five important elements of a short story; 2. critically identify them (elements) in the used text. 3. analyze the story using Sigmund’s theory; and 4. participate in group activity.

Motivating Drills “Brain Teasers”
Procedures: 1. The teacher will ask two brave hearts in the class to answer the first two brain teasers. 2. Let the student stand and be reminded that the question is to be answered within 10 seconds, no coaching is allowed. 3. If answered correctly she’ll have the power to choose what group he or she shall be joining later. 4. The rest three brain teasers will be answered together by the class. 5. Ask the class, or the student who incorrectly answered the game, what are the usual lapses we commit in answering brain teasers? 6. The teacher concluded the game from the students’ answers that we usually fail to analyze the given data and/ or our brain doesn’t like information gaps and so we tend to jump immediately to the answer that looks good.
