Since, I can remember I never liked to read but I like to hear books read to me .when I was in preschool my teacher always read to me. i was interested. When I got to elementary school I had to read out loud. I could read just fine in my head but when I read out loud I always froze up when it was my turn to read to the class. My class actually took a field trip to another elementary school to read to there whole second grade class. My reading became more versatile, I was also able to improve my vocabulary and reading comprehensive skills.
When I was in high school reading became more of a hobby, rather than mandatory thing. I enjoyed when my teachers asked me to read out loud to the class. I also read on my free time. In high school I read “Perfect Chemistry” , “Romeo & Juliet “ and “ The Book Of Hercules”. I hope to read “The Great Gatsby” while I am attending college.
So moral of the story I really never had a problem reading to myself. The real problem was gaining enough confidents me to read to others. Overtime as I practice reading out loud it became more interesting to me. I grew to actually like reading and never realized I got over my problems with reading out loud. I became devoted and started reading books every night before bed. So now I like reading out loud to others. I accomplished my goal, and I am very proud of myself for doing
