Vincent Junior High School. When he was there they had a student verses teacher
basketball game, and he decided to sign up. He was really tall in junior high, and he
figured out that during the game he could dunk. Turns out that he was a lot better at
basketball than he thought he was.
He attended St. Mary High School. He was on both the basketball and the
football team, and he was very good at both. In both his football and basketball careers
in high school he was always one of the best players. Everyone knew he was very good at
football, because he was compared to Randy Moss when he first got drafted into the
NFL. Lebron was getting more coverage from ESPN in basketball than he was in
football. He chose to focus on basketball because teams from the NBA were even
thinking of drafting him straight out of high school.
The 2003 NBA Draft was coming up and out of all the teams in the NBA the
Cavaliers wanted Lebron the most. The Cavaliers started losing most of their games and
were trying to be the lowest ranked team in the NBA so that they could get the first round
draft pick because they wanted Lebron so much. The 2003 NBA Draft ended up coming
and Lebron got drafted first round by the Cavaliers.
Ever since Lebron James has been drafted in the NBA he has stuck with the
Cavaliers and has never been traded. In Lebron James’ rookie year he was voted rookie
of the year for his outstanding skills on the court. During the second year of his NBA
career he was voted to play in the NBA All-Star game. In this years 2008 Olympics
Lebron James also helped Team USA to win a gold medal in basketball. Lebron James is
still young and has many years until retirement, and until he retires he can still
accomplish so much more in his NBA career.
I choose to write about Lebron James because I already new about him, but I
wanted to find out more because he is such a
