Introduction
The brain is one of the most important organs of our body that controls all of our actions which helps us be coordinated. It is divided into two cerebral hemispheres, the left and the right, with each having their own specializations like the left is for the verbal tasks and the right is for the non-verbal tasks. Examples of the verbal task are the majority of what most often we do in school, such as writing, logic, language, math and speech. It focuses on reality. The non-verbal tasks are more of the imaginative and creativity, such as this one would be musical talents, arts like drawing, sculpting, painting etc. Imagination takes part here, aside from that it helps in recognition of objects. Coordination of both hemispheres is important for humans since conflict in the way thinking of might occur, causing to split-brain where an individual has a hard time on recognizing things.
A continuous research is being done in the discrepancy of both hemispheres since it is not yet clear what really makes the right different from the left, although there were observed small differences in the appearance of the brain, the structure of the two hemispheres. Talking about the brain, each human has his or her own way of thinking which means having their own disciplines too. Filipinos, like any other humans in their own nation has their own distinctive way of thinking making it possible to analyze and study a certain community’s behavior through methods and researches being done. Filipino psychology is one discipline that is involved in understanding these kinds of issues since one of its goals in developing Filipino psychology is through Filipino identity or the pagka-Pilipino. Its concern is helping Filipinos to be aware of their society’s behavior in able for them to understand how Filipinos are as part of this
