Legal Case Study 2: First Impressions Of Mark Cuban People
Case study #2- Mark Cuban

* I looked up Mr. Cuban under that textbooks information and one other sites and asked my friend what she thought about him while she found information other places and much to my surprise she found not one good thing to say about this man while i found him to be determined supportive and coach worthy for something he loved while running a billion dollar business. I guess who you get your information from is what will sculpt your first impression of somebody.

1. I think hes a devoted person and obviously does not hold himself higher than other to allow himself down at the bottom with the rest of mankind instead of up in his swanky box seats. This also has a huge effect on his team and their rates now.

Cuba’s main source of income was from the production of sugar. However, a vast majority of the sugar plantations were in the hands of the Americans. Due to the nature of the crop, Cubans are only employed for about 4 months a year. Nationalizations of US owned companies thus provided the regime with necessary resources to ‘return’ the country back to the people. Castro nationalized a billion dollars’ worth of American investments in Cuba and thus removed US’s dominance in Cuba. This thus shows that Castro’s revolutionary idealism was anti-American because of US economic dominance in its ex-colony. He was determined to oust USA’s ‘dollar diplomacy’. USA thus responded to Castro’s actions by placing an economic blockade and stopped buying Cuban sugar, the country’s principal export. However, the Soviet Union agreed to buy the sugar, resulting in a closer relationship between USSR and Cuba. This thus shows that Castro’s aggressive actions led to an increase in rivalry and stirred hostility between the superpowers, leading to the outbreak of Cuban Missile…

His view were shaped and influence at the early age of 16 when he was imprisoned for five years then exiled to the United States later. As a writer in the United States he formed a group of insurgents to eventually invade Cuba to start a revolution and release the nation from Spain’s control. He saw that Latin America blindly followed the world as an easily manipulated and exploitable puppet. Unlike Sarmiento, Marti believed that Latin America and Cuba in particular, should focus on securing freedom and independence so that they could then preserve tradition and culture rather than blindly follow a tyrannical Eurocentric power. The revolution slowly but surely was successful but not without the help of pressure and aid from the United States. Marti feared that the United States would just be another controlling tyrant to oppress Cuba economically and culturally. The fears are summed up by Marti said, “When a local problem arises, we are less likely to seek the answer in London or Paris. Our styles may originate in France but our though is becoming more American. The new generation rolls up its sleeves, gets its hands dirty, and sweats. It is getting results. Our youth now understands we are too prone to imitate and that our salvation lies in creativity. ‘Creativity’ is the password of this new generation.” (Marti, 9-10) In the end Marti’s fears turned to reality as the United States occupied Cuba in the early 1900’s effectively controlling the economy and almost crushing the sugar industry in Cuba causing a severe time of struggle in the…
