Abstract
This paper will cover, our legal system in terms of ethics, does it promote good ethics or bad? And what roles due the judges play in the promotion of the legal ethic practice? It will help the reader understand how the legal ethical environment impacts management and their decision making and it will also help you understand the political, social, and ethical underpinning of national business law.
Analyze and explain the state of our legal system in terms of ethics: ‘Employees of the federal judiciary are expected to observe high standards of conduct so that the integrity and independence of the judiciary are preserved and the judicial employee’s office a devotion to serving the public” (United States Courts). Having an understanding of how our legal system operates would help. Let’s start with the sources and elected officials in which it needs. The constitutions, statutes, administrative regulations and case laws are all needed to operate our legal system. The constitution sets the blueprint for the governments and states laws. All laws have to be constitutional; if they are not the law in question can be challenged and removed by the constitutions laws. States also have their own constitutional laws that govern only their state but again they cannot conflict with the US. Constitution (EB, 2012). An example of a US constitutional law would be the Economic Opportunity Act, passed in 1973 by the U.S. Congress establishing that the Legal Services Corporation would have to provide legal services to the poor. Earlier attempts were made by the federal government for free legal service, such as in 1865 to help free the slaves, but the federal bureau that organized this shut down in 1869 ending its services. As time passes there were some members of congress along with some presidents that thought this service should be shut down. Advocates recognized that
