The author narrated the story with combination of climactic and episodic plot construction, in which there are lots of people and events, and there exists some parallel plots, and we also need to see many scenes before we understand what is happening, and the plot is also developed tensely. There are four main characters in this play, including Tito Merelli(The world's most renowned opera tenor) and Max(Saunders' long-suffering assistant), who are the characters with dominant traits; Henry Saunders (The Cleveland Grand Opera's general manager), Maggie Saunders and Tito’s wife Maria, a minor character in the play, playing a important role to serve to further the story.
