Lesson: Общественно-политическая лексика
Theme of the Lesson: Preparation for newspaper reading. Newspaper lexicon. Types of British and American newspapers.

Students’ aims: 1. To develop speaking skills. 2. To develop listening and understanding skills. 3. To develop reading and analyzing skills. 4. To get acquainted with newspaper lexicon. 5. To get acquainted with American and British newspapers. 6. To be able to distinguish different types of newspaper articles.

Teacher’s objectives: 1. To give students an opportunity to develop their skills: speaking, listening, understanding, reading and analyzing. 2. To introduce newspaper lexicon to the students. 3. To introduce American and British newspapers to the students.

Materials: Text. Cards with the task. Board. Active Board. Personal computer.
