I. Objectives
After the class lesson, the students are expected to do the following with 85% accuracy:
a. Define the meaning of population and growth rates,
b. Identify the different strategies to control rapid population,
c. Create a scenario in a form of role playing.

II. Subject Matter
Topic - Population Growth
Basic Text - MAPEH II Skills for Life, pp. 224-240
Materials - LCD Projector

III. Procedure

A. Review
Ask the students to name the primary health care to a healthy community.

B. Motivation
The class will be divided into 4. Each group will pick a number that will reveal on what situation they are going to present:
PAINT ME A PICTURE
Poverty
Teen age pregnancy
Big family
Sexual harassment

C. Lesson Proper
1. Ask the students to define the meaning of Population and growth rates
2. Discuss how to manage an ageing population
3. Discuss the strategies to control rapid population growth
4. Let the students differentiate the strategies to control rapid population growth
5. Let the students enumerate the Philippine population

IV. Evaluation
Get a one whole sheet of paper and ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
1. In your own understanding define the meaning of population. And growth rate.
2. What are the examples of population policies and how they help to achieve sustainable development?

Create a scenario in a form of role playing .
