I. Objective
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
Modify knowledge and skills in drawing outlines.
Clarify the importance of freehand drawing as primary tool in drafting.
Calibrate skills in freehand drawing.
II. Subject Matter
Topic: “Freehand Drawing”
Sub-topics: Types of Freehand Drawing
Pencil Technique Value and Shaded Drawing Traditional Pencil Shading

A. PREPARATION

Review:
1. What is Drafting?
2. What are examples of drawing tools, instruments and equipments?
Motivation:
Quotation: "Drawing is the 'bones' of art. You have to be able to walk before you can run" – Dionne Archibald
Explanation: Start doing simple things before going on to the complex one.
B. PRESENTATION
1. Explain the meaning of the term freehand drawing.
2. Discuss the types of freehand drawing
3. Discuss the different pencil techniques..
4. Discuss about Value and Shaded Drawing.
5. Give introduction about traditional pencil shading and explain the different ways in pencil shading.
C. APPLICATION
Written Activity. Four students will be raised about freehand drawing. They are going to sketch the thing/s they want to draw without using any drawing tools or straight edges.
D. EVALUATION
10-point Identification. (See attached paper)
E. AGREEMENT
Observe some objects, then choose one and draw it in freehand. Draw it in a short bond paper.
