Leticia Reinaldo Character Analysis
Leticia Reinaldo is a Brazilian artist who now resides in Los Angeles as a freelance artist. I would assume I'm most drawn to her work because of her Disneyesque stylization. Her proportions are extreme, and the composition of her artwork is alluring to the eye. She has worked on projects such as movie posters for Frozen, Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy and Muppets Most Wanted. She has also worked on promotional pieces for Mr. Peabody & Sherman and How to Train Your Dragon 2.
One of her characters that stands out would be Aurech, a blue, oddly proportioned, man with a scared expression. I’m a fan of him because he looks like if one were to take Hugh Jackman, paint him light blue, make his torso broader- if that is even humanly possible-

The character began with the concept of a animal human hybrid, only because humans are so unoriginal. My first ideas were those of a skunk person who had a complete disregard for personal hygiene. Although upon further investigation I realized that the idea came to me through this one character designed on a Face Off episode I had seen a few weeks prior, and rather than struggle to fight that image in my head, I just scrapped the whole idea. I'd like to think that the story behind this character was almost painfully innocent, as if she would roam the forests in fear, although she is very curious, of …show more content…
As I looked up more pictures of fawns, and rams, and sheep, I noticed a few things that were carried into the sculpt. One being the fact that the hind legs are much more muscular than those of the front, so I aimed to make her legs a bit bigger than the rest of the body, while trying at the same time to stay proportionate. There was really no issue sculpting until I came to the clothes. Seriously, those clothes. I completely disregarded the fact that I quite literally started using this program like two moths ago and decided that a flowy skirt would be a grand idea. It was not a grand idea, and in fact gave me so much stress that I was convinced I would throw my computer into the wall. However, I did not, as I eventually smoothed the heck out of those edges and now its totally awesome and I love it. I'd say that I am extremely happy with the outcome considering that I assumed I wouldn’t be able to sculpt a potato, yet here we

Feeling sorry for someone, but not agreeing with them. As humans we have all felt this feeling at least once in our lifetime. In the book The Awakening, by “Kate Chopin” Kate Chopin sympathizes with the main character Edna but doesn’t pity her. I agree with Kate, because even though she’s married with Leonce a man that she doesn't love and has children with him, she is still free not attached to him at all. Another reason I agree with Kate is that she doesn’t pity Edna. She spends time and loves Robert rather than loving her own husband.…

Duras redetermines the idea of the character in Savannah Bay. The three characters of Madeleine, Jeune Femme and Savannah cannot exist in their own rights. They all depend on each other’s action, memories, and admissions. Madeleine’s fragmented memories reflect her fragmented character. She is never a complete character, and the audience will never be granted a full picture of who she is. Jeune Femme is reliant on Madeleine for the representation of her mother, Savannah. Thus, it becomes unimportant to access the character of Jeune Femme, who, unlike Madeleine and Savannah, is not even accorded a name; she is merely a vessel present to retrieve information relating to the character of Savannah. Yet, Savannah is always absent. She is a character…

The state of humanity is a debatable topic, as it constantly has its ups and downs. For example, while humanity is moving forward in areas such as knowledge and technology, there are still many displays of ignorance and stupidity that make people wonder if progress is being made at all. Lorraine Hansberry, the praised playwright behind A Raisin in the Sun and The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window, has experienced both the good and bad aspects of humanity and expresses it through her work. Although the majority of the characters and plot of A Raisin in the Sun suggest that humanity is repetitive, Hansberry uses some of her other characters,…

During this week of reading Wonder By Palacio a quote that popped up to me was “Does August see how other people see him, or has he gotten so good at pretending not to see that it doesn’t bother him? Or does it bother him? When he looks in the mirror, does he see the Auggie Mom and Dad sees or does he see the Auggie everyone else see? Or is there another August he sees, someone in his dreams behind the misshapen head and face?” because It made me think about how August feels about how other people look at him and how his parents look at him. Also it made me wonder how Mom and Dad look at August is different by the way other people look at him and how he looks at himself. This made me feel bad for August having to deal with what other people…

All these characters personalities, I think were given by their life style. Sister Aloysius looked really strict and very into religion, cut she showed to be double faced. In chapter five of the novel “The Tortilla Curtain” by T.C. Boyle, we get to know Kyra's character much better, and it gives another view on white American culture. As a real estate agent, physical appearance means everything. She constantly judges those she works with based on their appearances. The ability to look good and to keep up personal appearances becomes a sign of success and wealth, for people like Candido and America do not have the money to get such looks. Kyra's nose is proof of her obsession with appearance. She is also used as describing the stereotypical American workaholic attitude, ignoring her family, and she is always in a rush to get to her job. The fact that Kyra's sexual desire is triggered by disasters is the idea that people like her and Delaney are both afraid of and drawn to unpredictability.…

Lena Lingard intrigues me. She’s gentle even though she’s lived on the farm her entire life and she manages to make the littlest things exciting with her charisma. In ways, her adventurousness and excitement make her similar to Tony. However, they differ in that Ántonia possesses a quiet beauty and inner strength that contrasts with Lena’s liveliness. It’s strange-- I dream the same dream “a great many times, and it [is] always the same. I [am] in a harvest-field full of shocks, and I [am] lying against one of them. Lena Lingard [comes] across the stubble barefoot, in a short skirt, with a curved reaping-hook in her hand, and she [is] flushed like the dawn, with a kind of luminous rosiness all about her. She [sits] down beside me, [turns] to me with a soft sigh and said, ‘Now they are all gone, and I can kiss you as much as I like.’ I...wish I could have this flattering dream about Ántonia, but I never [do].” (109) I love Ántonia and her steady independence but I cannot see her in my dreams in…
