There is a lot to say of how much I appreciate you. You've done so much for me. Every step of the way, you have supported me. From kindergarten to even today you have never given up on me. I know before I've never listened to much of what you had to say or any of the advice you've given me. Whenever you made some of the choices that you thought were right for me, but I didn't agree with you. I now see what you were trying to do for me. I'd always looked up to you and wanted to be so much like you. A business man and a soccer player was all I've ever wanted to be just to be like you. I remember the day I decided to be a soccer player just like you and you made me run laps around the yard. Then you put me in ayso and became my coach. Now I play soccer with you every week and I enjoy it every time. You would tell me what was right and wrong in all of my decisions. I've tried making decisions on my own, thinking that I didn't need help but you were still there for me waiting to guide me into the right direction. You are my mentor, my inspiration, and most importantly my father. I can remember you telling me that I didn't know what I had to appreciate everything that is in my life. Now that I'm older, I realized what I do have and how much I should be grateful for it. I'm blessed with everything I have and what's available for me to build my own future because some people don't have it as easy as me. It's all because of you, dad, with all that you have done. From a warehouse worker to one of the most successful salesman in the independent business industry. You've never stopped working so you could give me the best life has to offer and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I'm going to be graduating and head out in the real world. There is a lot out there but I know I will work hard and never give up my dreams to become successful. To be just like you. I love you Dad.

Communication is one of the most important aspects of working in a team based setting. Daily tasks will not be able to be completed to a high standard if people do not fully understand what is expected of them, just as a manager cannot expect her staff to perform to their full potential if communication is flawed. It is not just verbal communication that takes a vital role non-verbal communication is just as important especially when working with children, young people and their families. Tone of voice, facial expressions and body language are all things that could aid or hinder something you are trying to tell a child, parent or even an adult in your team. To make sure I make progress within my role I will need to be confident and able to express my own needs and wants as well as being able to listen to others and speak up if I do not fully understand what is being asked of me.…

Yesterday was a rollercoaster of a day...well, this year has been a rollercoaster itself anyway! I want to write this for myself...to remind me that the glory belongs to God and to Him only. None of it would've been possible without Him. I am not that special but He saw me and believed in me. Yesterday, finally, I got my degree as a Doctor...A DOCTOR!!!!!! :)...what a huge, incredible word; It has been a wondrous road since I came to this country 14 years ago: So much has happen along the way! I remember I didn't speak English, I didn't know the culture, nobody in my family had ever graduated from college, we grew up so poor, hope was scarce in many areas and on top of that my family didn't even believed or taught me about love, at the end I decided to come following my heart and the man I thought it was the one. It is truth that heartbreak came but blessings came too: I got my baby girl and kept going day by day learning, studying, raising her, loving her and Him. I had to go through some discrimination, some hate, some isolation, even a miscarriage but guess what? with Him I survived because He sent many more blessings including a sweet man and a beautiful baby boy...speaking of underserved…

In the worst most awful time of your life my best piece of advice to you is just keep going, never give up on yourself and the results will surprise you every time. I guarantee it.” Words like this haven’t been told to me many times in my life.
