My Level of Integrity
Dwight D. Eisenhower once said, “The supreme quality for leadership is unquestionably integrity. Without it, no real success is possible, no matter whether it is on a section gang, a football field, in an army, or in an office.” I firmly agree with what this quote says. It is saying the greatest quality that a leader could have is integrity. When a leader does not possess this particular quality, then they will not succeed. Integrity is the foundation of all values and morals. No other value or moral could be without integrity. How could one be respectful while living a dishonest life? I will explain how I live a life of integrity, how it has impacted me, and how it will continue to impact my future.
I have been blessed with fantastic parents who believe in me and do their best everyday to show me what it is like to live a life of integrity. One of the greatest values that they have instilled in me is integrity. …show more content…
I noticed, and even though it was going to significantly affect my grade, I went up and showed him the error. He was very appreciative, and decided that because I was honest about the error, I was able to keep the points. This has impacted me because it made me realize that, even though telling the truth can be harmful to one’s self, it is always worth it in the end. I made the decision to show the teacher the error, that was made on my test, because I knew it would not be fair to myself or others in the class. I learned that, although it may seem that being honest will come with consequences it is not always the case. In this particular situation, I was rewarded for being honest. Another way that I live a life of integrity is by truly applying myself and by constantly trying to better myself. By doing that I am being honest with myself about my talents and

    This case was based on George Tenet and the decisions he made within the CIA, successful and unsuccessful. Tenet served under the Clinton and Bush administrations from 1997-2004. During the Clinton administration, his main focus was to rebuild the CIA from its lack of morale and budget issues. Surprisingly (in my opinion because of his lack of experience), he was successful in the beginning process of rebuilding. If the organizations struggles to meet their performance goals, and are struggling it is important for the employees to know. If this would occur, it is important that the employees understand this could be a possibility to give them an opportunity to look elsewhere for employment if the company continues to struggle. In this scenario, the manager would be viewed as using referent power. The leader is seen in a positive light and becomes transparent. Dalman and Lei when they do not have time to head overseas to oversee the franchise growth of Sandwich Blitz they can use Virtual Teams to communicate electronically instead of face to face that way they don’t have to stop what they are doing and leave the country to have a meeting, when in fact they can set up a manager meeting and see them virtually face to face by web cam online.
