Liberals vs. Conservatives

Liberals vs. Conservatives There are two different sides in government, Liberals and Conservatives. Liberals believe that the government should take care of the people and that it is the government’s job to make sure every one has equal opportunity. Conservatives believe it is the government’s job to provide the freedom to pursue their goals. (Limited Government) There are three major topics that make it easier for someone to decide the best side. The three include abortion, same-sex marriage, and immigration.

Abortion is a major topic in the United States, Should it be legal or illegal. Liberals believe that a woman has the right to do what ever. It’s the women’s body so the government shouldn’t have a say in it at all. Abortion is a personal choice. Conservatives believe that abortion is murder of another human being even though it hasn’t been born yet. Abortion is wrong and a baby has separate rights from the mother. Liberals in this case seem the best because it is the woman’s right to make choices.

The second major topic is on same –sex marriage. Liberals believe that marriage is between two people who love each other and that denying people from same-sex marriage denies their civil rights. They are against any law making same-sex marriage illegal. Conservatives believe that marriage is a bong between only a man and a woman. They also believe same-sex relationships violates moral and religious beliefs of millions of Christians, Jews, Muslims and others, who believe marriage is the union of one man and one woman. Liberals give more freedoms that Americans should have like being able to marry who they want.

The last major issue is about immigration. Liberals support legal immigration but undocumented immigrants are also accepted. They also believe Illegal immigrants should have the same right as Americans do because it isn’t fair to arrest all the immigrants.
