This major theme of lies and deceit is shown throughout many of the characters an example would be when Hamlet is sent to England to get killed and deceives his friends by having them get killed instead. In the play all of the lies are usually what cause the madness. The madness mostly revolves around Claudius because he is the one who started it all when he killed the King Hamlet. Then it continues when the ghost comes back and Hamlet kills the the wrong man. The man ends up being the father of Hamlet's love and his love kills herself because of her father's death. This can be tied into today’s problems because we have people running countries that we in the US would consider to be almost insane. Those countries are practically run by madness because they are controlled by people similar to Kim Jong Un. Kim Jong Un has known to be very unstable because he has had many people killed for speaking against him. Recently there has been fear that North Korea may be in possession of nuclear bombs and if this is true then this could cause madness everywhere, especially in the US.
