V. Conclusion a. Causes and effects in a diabetic’s life and how it may also affect the family and their life style as well. The cause of Diabetes is a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood sugar, either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both. Patients with high blood sugar will typically experience frequent urination; they will become extremely thirsty and hungry. (Nordqvist, 2012) There are many different types of diabetes type one diabetes is where the body does not produce insulin. Some people may refer to this type as insulin-dependent diabetes, juvenile diabetes, or early-onset diabetes. People tend to get type one before their 40th year; you will see it more often in early teenage years. Although type one is nowhere near as common as type two. About 10% of all diabetes cases are type one. Patients who have type one will need to take insulin injections for the rest of their life. They must also ensure proper blood-sugar levels by carrying out regular blood tests and following a special diet.
