An experience that changes their lives for the better. Sarah Ruth being so persistent about her religion, over time impacted Parker. Parker getting the tattoo of Jesus brought out something I him that he has never felt before. He finally realized what the whole religion thing was about and he has his awakening. The same goes for Pi, when Richard Parker leaves him. He left Pi behind with understanding that he longed for. Pi didn’t discover a certain religion to be the correct one, yet he discovered something more diverse. Pi figures out that all one must do is just simply believe. He had to believe in Richard Parker when he had no choice to and he had to believe in himself. He discovers that believing in doing the right thing and trying to live a righteous lifestyle is the best way to achieve anything in life.
