One of the personal attributes that may have led the main character to his death is his arrogance. His arrogance led to the main character death because his inability to think about what can happen during the journey. For instance, “The animal was depressed by the tremendous cold. It knew that it was no time for travelling. Its instinct told it a truer tale than was told to the man by the man's judgment” (Londom 2). Even the dog knew that it was not the day to be outside in the cold weather. While the man decided to do what he wanted to do instead of knowing what can happen along the way. It is based on a book about how a 16 year old boy gets stuck with a bengal tiger because of a shipwreck. At first he gets stuck with a hyena, zebra, orangutan and the bengal tiger. The hyena kills the zebra and orangutan and then the tiger eats the hyena. Leaving only Pi and the tiger left in the boat. Pi struggles with the tiger in which he faces challenges to take over the boat. During the time in the boat Pi and the tiger suffer from lack of food. They go through bad weather conditions and tragedies. However, when they finally land on land the tiger ends up leaving too the jungle. While Pi ends up alone and founded by japanese men. Pi ends up hurt that the tiger ends off to the jungle without acknowledging him. Pi personality traits is that he is intelligent, fearless and religious.
