and subjects, making it easy to quickly becoming interested in many branches of the field. I was drawn to taking Math 151, because I enjoy the aspect of combining math and life sciences. When doing math problems, it means more to me if they can be used to solve real life problems. I am eager to not only be informed about the human body, but all living organisms.
I am interested in studying life sciences, because I am a Pre-Pharmacy major. I find the medical field an honorable way to help others and improve patients daily lives. I became interested in the field of Pharmacy when my mother told me I would succeed in the field due to my memorization skills. Growing up the idea stuck with me, but I wasn’t for sure until I went to job shadow my mother’s friends. I job shadowed a pharmacist in retail, the nursing home and a hospital. What caught my interest the most was in the hospital, where the pharmacist was more active and different experiences. I found myself not wanting to leave and eager to learn more. Since the majority of people are treated by medicine, I find the Pharmacy career a great way to help others in need. By using medicine one can live a longer, healthier life which I find rewarding to help the patients do that. I believe I found a way to make a difference in the world and to help others when needed.
