Lightning Mcqueen In The Disney Film 'Cars'

In the Disney movie, "Cars" the main cast of characters experience many different conflicts that lead to the motivation and change of their main goal. Lightning McQueen, a selfish and arrogant rookie racer, is struggling to get back on track to win the most important race of his life after getting separated from his semi-hauler employee and friend, Mack. When Lightning realizes he is being left behind, he panics, trying his best to find the semi but eventually failing and getting taken in by a small town's sheriff due to his reckless driving and endangerment of others. This huge mistake on his part leads to him going before a jury and being sentenced to paving the roads he had destroyed, leaving him to think about what he has done.

While his stay is unenjoyable at first, he begins to see and meet other cars that spark something within him, showing him that there is more to winning
At first, Lightning thinks nothing of it, but then curiosity begins to creep into his mind. He can't help but wonder why Doc shows such a negative attitude towards going fast and racing altogether, that is until Lightning finally has a conversation with him about it, leading to the discovery of why Doc acts the way he does. Lightning is shaken by the fact that the car in front of him has gone through some of the things he had, which strikes him as odd. Why didn't Doc support him? It's not like I'm going to get into a crash like he did! Lightning must have thought, still keeping that proud and arrogant shield up. His mindset changed in a way, but he couldn't show it. He refused to allow himself to be sensitive in this state, replacing his fear of missing his shot at winning with anger. The thought of someone getting hurt from the races still settled into the back of his mind, only showing itself once one of his competitors got hurt, proving that he had learned things from his stay at Radiator
