Like the City Can't Hold Us
Ay, ay, ay
Good to see you, come on in, let's go
Yeah, let's go
Alright, alright
OK, uh, alright, OK
Alright, OK

Return of the Mack, get up!
What it is, what it does, what it is, what it isn’t.
Looking for a better way to get up out of bed
Instead of getting on the Internet and checking a new hit me
Get up! Thrift shop pimp strut walking, little bit of humble, little bit of cautious
Somewhere between like rocky and Cosby sweater gang nope nope y’all can’t copy
Yup. Bad, moon walking, this here, is our party, my posse's been on Broadway,
And we did it, our way.
Grown music, I shed my skin and put my bones into everything I record to it
And yet I’m on.
Let that stage light go and shine on down, got that Bob Barker suit game and plinko in my style.
Money, stay on my craft and stick around for those pounds,
But I do that to pass the torch and put on for my town
Trust me. On my I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T shit hustler,
Chasing dreams since I was 14 with the four track bussing halfway cross that city with the backpack, fat cat, crushing

Labels out here,
Now they can’t tell me nothing
We give that to the people,
Spread it across the country
Labels out here,
Now they can’t tell me nothing
We give it to the people,
Spread it across the country

Here we go back, this is the moment
Tonight is the night, we’ll fight till it’s over
So we put our hands up like the ceiling can’t hold us
Like the ceiling can’t hold us
Here we go back, this is the moment
Tonight is the night, we’ll fight till it’s over
So we put our hands up like the ceiling can’t hold us
Like the ceiling can’t hold us

Now, can I kick it? Thank you. Yeah I'm so damn grateful.
I grew up, really wanted gold fronts
But that’s what you get when Wu tang raised you
Y’all can’t stop me, go hard like I got an 808 in my heart beat
And I’m eating at the beat like you gave a little speed to a great white shark on shark week
Raw. Tell me go up. Gone!
Deuces goodbye. I got a world to

I lace up my Chuck Taylor high tops in a New York basket weave -- not the normal straight style for me. I want to stand out and show the world that they shouldn’t mess with me. I pull down my socks so that they crumple atop my highs, put on my gray shorts-pull ‘em down so that my jock strap is seen on my back-and slip into a T-shirt that says "In your face, I do it with grace." Ya see, I’m goin’ back ta Citrus -- ta Citrus -- ta Citrus.…

The Fury, the fastest, longest, and tallest rollercoaster on the East Coast. With a top speed of 95 mph and a height of 325 feet makes it the biggest rollercoaster I had ever gotten on, beating the Intimidator 305 by 25 feet. I remember seeing on television and wanting to ride it really badly. It just looked so amazing and since I love rollercoasters and love riding rollercoasters, I knew it was something I had to do. I had ridden lots of rollercoasters before this one such as the Intimidator 305 and the Top Thrill Dragster, which I had enjoyed riding very much, and I figured that the Fury would be just as good. So I asked my parents of we could go to the Carrowinds to ride the Fury. They said yes and we went with my aunt to the Carrowinds.…

Many days were spent walking around town with my friends, occasionally stopping by the Gas Station and grabbing a drink. One such story, was when I was riding my bike to a friend's house, down North Olive. It was an incredibly steep hill with a Rail Road at the bottom. It was an especially cold day, so I was bundled up like fort Knox, ear muffs and all. I didn't hear the Train at first as I blazed down the hill like the speed demon I was.…

I went to my room and packed all of my belongings into two massive suitcases and loaded them into my old Holden Astra. I took some money from my mother's stash, neatly tucked away, out of sight under the bottom drawer of her bedside table, and then left for the next town over. I found a cheap motel where I stayed a few weeks, trying to find someone that would hire a 17 year old girl that dropped out of year 11. I got a job working at some fast food place that I hadn’t heard of before, and I still can’t remember what it was called.…

I wanted to stop right in the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge, put my kickstand down, and get off my bike. I wanted to stand right on the bridge and pump my fists in the air like I was Rocky after making it to the top of the stairs. That was the moment of the trip that signified the entire thing. Everything before lead to that moment; everything after was homeward bound. I thought it might be the Bixby Bridge; it wasn’t. It was the Golden Gate, and the traffic, the view, the ocean, the people, my friends, and my bike made it the special moment it ultimately became. It was, as Joe noted, “an iconic…

I remember sitting on my beige couch, watching the time click on the wall. I was excited for the hands of the clock to reach the hour I had been waiting. As the minutes passed, I began to get ready for what I had been anticipating- the concert of the summer. This was to be my present to my sister for her twelfth birthday- two tickets for 5 Seconds of Summer, a pop punk band that we both enjoyed.…
