Lily Owens Character Traits

Lily Owens, the main character of the novel The Secret Life of Bees, is a protagonist and narrator of her story. She is fourteen years old and lives in Sylvan, South Carolina with her father T-Ray. She is beaten and abuse by him and is forced to work on his peach farm. When Lily was four, her mother decided to leave Lily and T-Ray.
