First we have to look at the real world and then you would notice that there are heroes all around us. For example Lincoln and Douglass were considered heroes because they championed the right to freedom and liberty In the text White House Funeral Sermon for Abraham Lincoln says,” God be praised that our fallen chief has lived long enough to see the day dawn and the day star of joy and peace arise upon the
nation.” That means that Lincoln died just enough to see a small part of the new age for America. And Douglass he spent the rest of his life after getting out of his masters home speaking against slavery. Just like Lincoln and Douglass there are many other heroes out in the real world such as firefighters. To saving cats from a tree or putting a fire out firefighters put their lives on the line to keep everyone safe. There are also police man who like the firefighters put their life on the line to keep the people hurting others breaking into a house or selling drugs the try their best to keep us safe. There are many examples of heroes in our lives and in the comic books.
One example of heroes are the people in our everyday lives are people like Martin Luther King he is considered a hero because he helped how we are today. Thanks to him black people and white people can go to school together. There are also many different people Martin Luther King was just one example of the heroes in our lives. There are also people that don’t get recognized like your parents and teacher and your school lunch ladies. While were looking at what a hero means it’s also important to look at what a hero is not.
